THE SATAN AND DEMONS

The storyline of the Bible presents a populated spiritual world, full of creatures who are in rebellion against their Creator, just like humans. For lots of fascinating reasons, our modern conceptions of these spiritual rebels are based on serious misunderstandings of the Bible.

So let us go back to the book of Genesis with this video by The Bible Project, and then start over as we learn about the powers of spiritual evil in the story of the Bible.

THE SATAN AND DEMONS

SPIRITUAL BEINGS

In the first pages of the Bible, we are introduced to Elohim and humans as the main characters. But there is also a whole cast of spiritual beings who play an important role throughout the Bible, though they are often in the background. In this video, we begin to explore these beings and how they fit into the unified storyline of the Bible.

TWO WOMEN AT THE MILL, Matthew 24:41

The peasant women are modest and wear long robes or dresses which touch the ground as they walk.  They always keep their hair covered, but when grinding at home where no man sees them, they remove the veil, uncovering the hair, and bare a greater part of the right leg.

This knowledge helps to understand scriptures like Isaiah 47:2 and Jeremiah 25:10.

WISDOM

Wisdom is an attribute of Elohim with which He Himself created the world and the Book of Proverbs calls it “Lady Wisdom” as well as “the Fear of YaHUaH” (Prov. 1 – 9) which is to respect Elohim’s indication of good and bad. We need that wisdom to discern between good and bad to be able to eat from the Tree of life while making a living on this earth and to fulfill the instruction of “to have dominion over the earth with its animals” as we are created IN THE IMAGE OF ELOHIM.

YaHUsha as THE SON OF MAN is therefore our direct source of godly wisdom (Col. 2:2 -3, 1 Cor. 30, 1 Cor. 2, Eph. 1:16 – 19, etc.).

The understanding of such wisdom is taking us back to the Garden of Gen. 1 – 3 and also into the future of Rev. 21 – 22. The Bible Project explains in this video how the three books of Solomon (Proverbs, Ecclesiastes and Song of Songs) form a unity and should be read together.
