FEAST OF TABERNACLES: YAHUSHA IS OUR TABERNACLE

Because the Feast of Tabernacles was the last of the seven feasts, it completed the religious season.  The number seven in the Bible represents completion.   We learn from this that the Feast of Tabernacles represents the completed or finished work of YaHUaH in both this present age in which we live and the lives of individual Believers.   Thus it corresponds to the last step in our walk with Elohim to reach spiritual maturity and rest in our souls.

YaHUsha Messiah is the Tabernacle or dwelling place of Elohim.   In Him dwelled all the fullness of Elohim (John 1:14; Colossians 2:9) and Elohim dwells in our midst through YaHUsha Messiah (Matthew 18:20).

YaHUsha claimed that we could find rest in Elohim through Him.  Many Believers seek YaHUaH’s rest by working for Him or trying to get something from Him.  But through a personal relationship with YaHUsha Messiah, He is our rest.

DIE GROOT VERSOENDAG EN ONS GELOOFSTOETSE

Een aspek wat baie Gelowiges weerhou om JaHUaH se rus binne te gaan is …”om te weet hoe om beproewings die hoof te bied”.  

Ons ondervind almal probleme wat ons geloof beproef en ons gehoorsaamheid aan die geopenbaarde wil van JaHUaH vir ons lewens toets.  

Hoe ons gereeld op hierdie beproewings reageer, kan die verskil maak of ons JaHUaH dieper gaan leer ken of nie.

THE DAY OF ATONEMENT AND THE TESTING OF OUR FAITH

One aspect which keeps many Believers from entering Elohim’s rest is … “knowing how to cope with trials”. 

We all experience difficulties which try our faith and test our obedience to the revealed will of YaHUaH for our lives.  

How we respond to these trials often can make the difference in whether or not we ever know the rest of YaHUaH.  

The Day of Atonement is a visual aid YaHUaH has given us to teach us about our Master YaHUsha Messiah and how to handle the inevitable trials that confront every believer.

FEAST OF TRUMPETS, OUR HORN OF SALVATION

The Feast of Trumpets forms part of the Feast of Tabernacles.  The Feast of Tabernacles was celebrated at the end of the harvest season and was also called the Feast of Ingathering.  By this time the whole harvest was finished and the people rested.

The meaning is clear … YaHUaH wanted His Covenant People to learn to rest in Him.  As the Spiritual and Scriptural Israel of Elohim (Gal. 6:15 – 16), YaHUaH’s goal for Believers in YaHUsha Messiah is that we will find rest in Him.

YaHUaH used trumpets in the Old Testament to communicate with His covenant people.  They were always terrified when He spoke to them directly, so he spoke to them through the use of trumpets.  The sound of the trumpet was then representative of the “voice” of YaHUaH to the People, as well as of His power when there was war.

Originally, two silver trumpets were blown, but these were later replaced with the shofar.  It was blown to gather the people for worship, or to break up camp and move on as well as to sound the alarm to get ready for war.

Because YaHUaH spoke to the people in this way, and basically used trumpets to “fight their battles for them”, they started calling Him: “the Horn of Salvation”.

YaHUsha is the true Commander of the army of YaHUaH (Rev. 19:11-16).  When Zechariah heard that the Anointed One (Messiah) was born, he spoke these prophetic words …

“Blessed be YaHUaH, the Elohim of Israel, for he hath visited and redeemed his people, and hath raised up an Horn of Salvation in the house of David his servant”.  (Luke 1:68 – 69)

FEES VAN BASUINE, ONS HORING VAN VERLOSSING

Die Fees van Basuine vorm deel van die Fees van Tabernakels. Die Fees van Tabernakels was gevier aan die einde van die oesseisoen en is ook genoem die Fees van Insameling.  Teen hierdie tyd was die hele oes afgehandel en die mense het gerus.

Die betekenis is duidelik … JaHUaH wou hê dat Sy Verbondsvolk moet leer om in Hom te rus.  As Geestelike en Skriftuurlike Israel van Elohiem (Gal. 6:15 – 16) is JaHUaH se doelwit vir Gelowiges in JaHUsha Messias dus dat ons in JaHUsha sal rus vind.

JaHUaH het in die Ou Testament trompette gebruik om met Sy verbondsvolk te kommunikeer.  Hulle was altyd ontsettend bevrees as Hy direk met hulle gepraat het.   Hy het dus met hulle gepraat deur die gebruik van trompette. Vir die Volk was die geluid van die basuin dan verteenwoordigend van die “stem” van JaHUaH, asook van Sy mag wanneer daar oorlog gevoer was. 

Oorspronklik is twee silwer trompette geblaas, maar dit is later vervang met die shofar.  Dit is geblaas om die mense bymekaar te maak vir aanbidding, of om kamp op te breek en verder te trek asook om alarm te maak om gereed te maak vir oorlog.

Omdat JaHUaH so met die mense gepraat het, en basies trompette gebruik het om “hulle gevegte vir hulle te veg”, het hulle Hom begin noem: “die Horing van Verlossing“.

JaHUsha is die ware Kommandeur van die leër van JaHUaH (Open. 19:11- 16). Toe Sagaria gehoor het dat die Gesalfde (Messias) gebore is, het hy hierdie profetiese woorde gespreek …

“Geloofd sy JaHUaH, die Elohiem van lsrael, omdat Hy sy volk besoek het en vir hulle verlossing teweeg gebring het, en ‘n Horing van Verlossing opgerig het in die huis van Dawid, sy kneg — soos Hy gespreek het deur die mond van sy afgesonderde profete van ouds af — redding van ons vyande en uit die hand van almal wat vir ons haat.”  (Luk. 1:68 – 69)

DIE GEMEENTE VAN PERGAMUS

Pergamus was bekend as die plek waar die troon van die Satan is.

Nà die fees van Bélsasar en die val van Babel (539 v.C.) het Kores dan die afgodspriesters uit Babel verban en hulle het hulle hoofsetel in Pergamus gevestig tot 133 v.C. waarna hulle gerieflikheidshalwe die Romeinse gode aanvaar het wat in baie opsigte met hulle eie ooreengestem het

Die troon van die Satan was ’n groot altaar vir Zeus, die “hoofgod” van die Griekse pantheon.   Zeus was bekend as die heerser oor die hemele en vader van die ander gode en van die sterflike mitologiese helde.  Hierdie altaar was vlak by die tempel van Athene, die Griekse godin van wysheid en die kunste.

THE ASSEMBLY OF PERGAMUM

The origin of Pergamum is unknown, but such an easily defended hill would have been inhabited at a very early date.  The main weakness of its defense was a lack of water.  

Pergamum was first mentioned in Xenephon’s Anabasis as the meeting place in 399 B.C. of  Xenephon and the commander of the Spartans who had just defeated the Athenians in one of the Peloponnesian Wars.  Nothing more is heard of Pergamum until after the death of Alexander the Great in 323 B.C.  Then Lysimachus, one of his generals, took control of western Asia Minor.  Later there was a series of kings named alternately Eumenes and Attalus who extended and strengthened their kingdom and spent some of their booty decorating the towering citadel of Pergamum with beautiful white marble structures.  What is left of their contributions continues to attract people even now to their city.

MISLEIDING IN VERBAND MET DIE MERK VAN DIE DIER

Ons kan nie ‘n huis bou as ons nie ‘n fondasie het waarop dit gebou moet word nie.  Ons kan ook nie ‘n begrip van die Openbaring van JaHUsha aan Johannes kry as ons nie eers die fondasie daarvan bepaal het nie.

Wat is dan die fondasie waarop ons moet bou om ‘n begrip te kry oor die Merk van die Dier, want ons kan nie net begin stene pak voordat ‘n goeie fondasie nie gelê is nie en sê “ons word beperk in wat ons mag en nie mag doen nie” en dit dan koppel aan “nie kan koop of verkoop nie” en besluit dat iets soos ‘n inspuiting nou die Merk van die Dier is nie.  Daar is op geen fondasie gebou nie, en die geskiedenis van die tyd waarin dit geskryf is word dan ook nie in ag geneem nie.

DECEPTION CONCERNING THE MARK OF THE BEAST

We cannot build a house if we do not have a foundation on which to build it.  Nor can we gain an understanding of the Revelation of YaHUsha to John unless we have determined its foundation.

What is then the foundation on which we must build to gain an understanding of the Mark of the Beast, because we cannot just start to lay bricks before a good foundation is laid and then say that because “we are limited in what we may and may not do” then links it to “cannot buy or sell” and then decides that something like an injection is now the Mark of the Beast.  Such an assumption is not built on any foundation, and the history of the time in which it was written is therefore also not been taken into account.

ANTIPAS, THE FAITHFULL WITNESS OF PERGAMUM

In A.D. 92, according to tradition, Antipas of Pergamum, a personal disciple of the Apostle John, was roasted to death in a brazen or copper bull during the persecutions of Emperor Domitian.

YaHUsha called Antipas “My faithful witness” in Rev. 2:13.  The word “martyr” comes originally from the ancient Greek where it is a legal term for a “witness”, as for someone who would give a testimony in a court of law.

The governor ordered Antipas to offer a sacrifice of wine and incense to a statue of the Roman emperor and declare that the emperor was “lord and god.”

But Antipas refused and if one would reject the divinity of the emperor, then that is the equivalent of rejecting the city of Rome and believers were killed for this. Antipas was thus sentenced to death on the Altar of Zeus.
