Herod, by name Herod the Great, was born 73 BCE and died March/April, 4 BCE. He was the Roman-appointed king of Judaea (37 – 4 BCE).
What was Herod’s offspring? His father was Antipar, the Edomite. Herod was an Edomite. He killed all the baby boys under two years old as he heard the “King of Jews” was born (Matt. 2).
