GOG OF THE LAND MAGOG, THE CHIEF PRINCE OF MESECH AND TUBAL

The prophecy in Ezek. 38 and 39 are much challenged in modern times.

As a very brief summary of the book, it can be said that the core of the book of Ezekiel deals with the more than once destruction of the temple (Solomon’s temple, Herod’s … as well as the attack on the Heavenly Tabernacle).

In the first destruction of Jerusalem and Solomon’s temple (586 BC), Gog was not involved.

Gog was indeed allowed by YaHUaH to destroy Jerusalem and the rebuilt temple (which Herod had modernised), so that it could bring a final end to the Old Testament era, which happened in 70 AD.

Gog’s last attack is then on the New Jerusalem and the Heavenly Tabernacle of the Kingdom of Heaven (2 Thess. 2:1 – 4), which relates to the approaching end of our current era.

That Gog’s involvement is in connection with the ending of both the Old Testament era and the New Testament era, is also confirmed in YaHUsha’s prophetic speech in Matt. 24, when the disciples asked Him two questions and He answered them in such a way that they respectively indicate the ends of both of the two different eras.

Ezekiel’s prophecy is therefore double layered, but the tendency is to think only of our era when interpreting Gog, therefore we need more light in connection with the interpretation regarding both eras.

To just ignore the end of the Old Testament era in 70 AD, leads to a deceptive perception which unfortunately causes one to work with Gog while he is creating a way for himself in our era.
