THE MYSTIC STAR OF JUDAISM AND ISRAEL AS EARTHLY KINGDOM

The State of Israel’s Zionist “Star of David” is closely intertwined with the mystical side of Judaism from extra-biblical writings such as the Talmud and the Kabbalah.

There are no biblical grounds for the Star of David, but it has to do with the Star god (Saturn) which according to Scripture was already worshipped by Israel in the Old Testament when Israel was an earthly kingdom (Amos 5:26, Acts 7:42).

This mystical star is linked to the messiah who is expected by Judaism. The Jews already in YaHUsha’s time had an expectation of a Saviour regarding an earthly kingdom, but He explained in His parables that He represents a Heavenly kingdom. It was a mystery, like a treasure to be discovered.

Even today, there is the same trap for not applying Old Testament prophecy to the Heavenly Kingdom, but to an “earthly” Israel.

The “earthly” setup does correlate with the Beast from the earth in Rev. 13 which opposes YaHUsha Messiah’s Heavenly Kingdom.

There are thus two “paths” to choose from on our journey of faith to reach the correct destination.

THYATIRA – HISTORY

The letter to the church at Thyatira is a tightly woven masterpiece of Old Testament text and cultural context.

Thyatira was the smallest of the seven cities in Asia but has the distinction of receiving the longest letter.

While there are not significant ruins at Thyatira as there are in the other cities the cultural references are quite strong and can be easily seen throughout the letter.

Follow the history and cultural background with the following videos of both Fig Tree Ministries and Our Daily Bread.
